Lovers And Friends Poem by Judy Hill

Lovers And Friends

Rating: 4.0

When we were together it was a beautiful thing,
when I was with you my heart would sing.

Holding my hand as young lovers do,
I was your baby and you was my boo.

You told me you love me, I told you the same,
not realizing sooner or later there would be pain.

Two kids that are not here, then next was more pain,
after that our relationship wasn’t the same.

No goodbyes or it’s over you just left me alone,
then I was left to sing a sad love song.

No longer were we lovers, but we became friends,
but I still loved you so I gave you a second chance.

We were lovey dovey, kiss this, kiss that, but something went wrong,
because we were back to where we use to be at.

A baby in the time we were apart,
but still you kept me in your heart.

Even after that we were still messing around,
not even going together, but love we still found.

But just like a cycle something went wrong,
then I found another guy and a baby came along.
But no matter whom I was with you kept me in your heart,
waiting for us to make that new start.

You still was my friend even if we wasn’t together,
that’s the kind of friend I need that can handle bad weather.

Having sex with him wishing I was making love to you,
wishing you were holding my body and kissing it to.

Lovers and friends we will always be, never to be parted again you will see.
