Lovers First Kiss Poem by Henrik Berg

Lovers First Kiss

There is nothing quite like two lovers first kiss.

I remember,
The exhiliration,
Like millions of burning particles flow through your veins.
The trembelling, as yor lips draw closer.
Eatch breath an eternity,
Heavy,
Echoing inside you,
Accompanied by the hearbeats.
A moment,
That I remember still.

The warmth, generated by the tension, the longing.
Slowly, for what feels like hours,
You draw closer,
Reading the lips of your lover,
wanting to close them with yours.
For just a moment.
A moment of thrill.

Or perhaps in the dark,
Only feeling the warmth of the body next to you.
Not hearing the breaths or the beating of the heart,
For the symphony of your own body is to deathening.
A moment,
A slow crescendo, untill.

-Silence.
The whole world that, just a moment ago,
Seemed to slow down,
Now at a complete stop.
At the touch of two lips,
The energy,
The passion,
Becomes a flood that drowns out the remenants
Of the small world t'was before.
A moment,
when everything is still.

And then,
As to make up for lost time,
As to catch up with the rest of the world,
The time dissapears,
Rushes by, as lovers;
Cling,
Embrace, hold,
Caress and kiss.
Their times run out,
The lovers must part.
The night turns to dawn,
Or the train has to leave,
In a moment
So harsh it could kill.

Time has retaken what was for
A moment
Stolen
Or burrowed.
But, in their memory,
Together,
They stay,
In that moment.
As long as they will.
