Lovers On The Sea Poem by arundhati sinha

Lovers On The Sea

Rating: 2.2

Two starcrossed lovers
Gazing at the stars
Lunging, grasping for
Sharp Silver moon beams.
Sharp Silver ropes
To cling on to;
Sharp Silver rays
To light the darkness
Settled in their hearts.

Amisty eye looks into
The deep brown of the other
Offering everything.
The other looks away
Ashamed at her emptiness
for she has already offered
To Another.

Two starcrossed lovers
Misunderstood, misunderstanding;
Toy with the threads
of Cosmos.

The waves lap on to the shores
The Sound of hearts breaking
The Sound of souls aching
The Sound of breath waiting
But for what?
