Loving you was the best way to go.
It was the surprise of life.
Meeting you felt like loving you would
Be the first and last best choice
I'd made in a long time. Unfortunately
You had different way from mine.
Loving you felt like the stars
Were mine and I ruled the world,
Because it was love at first sight.
Loving you to me never felt like a mistake,
Until you had me fooled and left me
Wondering and with no choice but to accept
That you were never meant to reach for my heart.
