Lucifer’s Excuse Poem by B. Sven Telander

Lucifer’s Excuse

The umbrella skulled creature
pirouetted beyond the forbidden horizon
in a ravenous and tender quaking whisper
using words that sound good together
in varying degrees of measured cadence,
dressed in sweat at never,
after always, a quantum phantom
with an essential red stare,
a carnal garden holds a lone bishop,
a naturally born but forgotten product,
thrones and dominions, less than ants and stone,
angels of atrocity, deep murder
deathquest bloodcult, skullless heads,
spring fever, summer pain,
telephones and coldness,
dead fall, deliveries and ice,
blind winter, links of chains and bones
(midnight’s frightful nightmare,
rodents of the day
shelter memories of a lie,
random cadence blossoms
dectaphonic embrace encapsulates
embers of a cold November,
warring with the moon,
tripping over shadows of playground equipment,
aeolian zone, black lake airspace retina
riding the dark nova horse
drunk on Heaven’s stench
fragmentation grenade of the spirit
in the armory of God
raiding the rifles of Paradise.
