Lucky Stars Poem by Mark Bratlie

Lucky Stars

Lucky stars are what we are
One from Venus
One from Mars

Bucking odds for common orbit
We became binary
And couldn't be finery

Outer space and inner space
We manage each
With love and grace

Our love shines brightly in the night
With warmth and joy
And healing light

As together we grow older
Our love twinkles
In spite of wrinkles

We gaze on love and are amazed
As beauty shows
It glows and grows

Yes, lucky stars are what we are
One from Venus
One from Mars
