Lullabies Poem by Dennis Go

Lullabies

Lullabies hearken my swollen ear
Voices tatter 'round my form.
Daybreak glistens, souls remain speechless
Underlying the morn.

Chanting, singing, whisp'ring...
Lullabies stricken my thoughts.
Prelude to my conscience, mockery of souls,
Dreamscapes ignite the morn.

Unlike madness, nighttime fades.
Unlike madness, lullabies jaunt.
Devoid me of life, ye morning sunrise,
Devoid me of my soul.
Tomorrow will never be the same again
Unlike the day it was before.
