Luminary Lifeline Poem by Reginald Walker

Luminary Lifeline

Often misjudged for what I am.
Striving for the horizon placed a far.
One thing that shall always ring true.
I am not just a brightly burning star.

Faithfully emerging every new day
Traversing the sky from end to end.
Disappearing on the fading horizon.
Precisely in the morning, rise again.

My presence overshadows the night
Rising over the horizon placed a far.
Essential warmth, delicately I radiate.
I am more than a brightly burning star.
