Lust Poem by Neo Patricia Monamodi

Lust

I am lust
I devour your joy and take away your trust
I make her look so attractive to you
I use your small brain and take your sensitivity
I get hold of young man’s desires and confuse him
I get rid of your conscience and make you get her and her and her…
I take hold of your sanity and make you look foolish for foolish you are!
I make your emotions make and rule you
I oblige you to make empty promises just to get laid
I take you away from your loving Father
I make you mine and keep you forever
I make you loose control and act on desire
I chew your joy in your Father’s house
I take pleasure from your relationship and make you miserable
Even when you find a genuine lover, my scar remains
I bring fear upon you so you’d rather defile her too
I make young women run after men
I make them bitter beyond imagination
My bitterness make them run after this man and that one
They think it’s a way to stop the hurt of lust
But I know better for it is just a masquerade
My victims confuse me for love
They cannot treat younger women with absolute purity
They kiss and hold here and there while I slowly creep
Those who are wise know better
They keep far from foolish games
They pray to their loving Father for wisdom and insight
They dress decently and rather not touch
I am the worst sin, your nightmare
For I am what you feel inside
Once you give into me there’s no turning back
You can never erase my scar
Your first wedding kiss will never be your first
I stay with you forever and never go away
I am not erasable but I am avoidable
Just be wise and flee from me
Give into then that is your fault, your fall
Pursue what you Father call righteousness
I am lust I normally warn people not…
