M. Lermontov - Don`t Cry, Don`t Cry, My Lovely Child! Poem by Saniya Galeyeva

M. Lermontov - Don`t Cry, Don`t Cry, My Lovely Child!

Don`t cry, don`t cry, my lovely child!
He isn`t worth of your great torment.
He would caress you just for fun,
He would love you because of boredom.

Aren`t there many good young men
In our country, our Georgia?
Their eyes are passionate black flame,
Their moustaches are black and gorgeous!

He was flung here from abroad
By chance, by fate. He is a stranger.
He`s looking for fame and for war.
What could he find with you, my angel?

He would present you heaps of gold
And swear he`d be always faithful.
He valued love of yours a lot
But by him your tears won`t be valued!
