Madness - Poem by Amy Welch
Tell me something I don't know.
Cause it's obvious I know almost everything. But not everything.
Yeah thought it probably would make sense to you.
You don't have to be a brainiac like me to understand.
My head hurts all the time.since a small child.
solving world small problems that they probably don't even think
I need to self medicate sometimes to help relax my head and mind.
Help forget what happened to me in my past.Let all the troubles go.
pain weakness and thinking just sometimes let it all go.
I be dying my hair.almost every chance I get.
Past experiances has something to do with it.
Makes me stronger and wiser today then my past days.
You don't need to tell me that.
dressing all femme and butchy.
Cause that's the woman I just am.A futch.
All dressed up in men's and women's designer jeans and pants.
Getcho long hoodies from kohl's and old navy.
For my long torso and body.I be dressing up all nice and casual.
Like no one's buisness.Sneaker's be expensive cause my wide feet.
Great taste in shoes comfort and style the way I roll.
I be wearing jewlery too.Yeah we can't forget that.
mmm hmm dontcha be saying oh them long legs and back mmm.
I know I got them.Ha ha ha.Who you think I got them from?
Certainly not from my mum'ma so you better be careful.
I have nothing to prove unless I show up in court.
The good die young. So I geuss I'll die young.
But not forgotten.Right? .. No one will forget me?
Beautiful inside and out.Like my soul.I hope my corpse will be too.
I have to be healthy and beautiful.
But set examples for these youngsters who are younger then I am.
Some say your only as young as you feel.
I say your only as young as you look and want to be.
But we still have to set examples for these kids.
So stay true and wise my brother's and sister's
