Madras Marina Poem by Indira Renganathan

Madras Marina

Man-made one here..
Samples of humans statued
Ruling over all ages sundry
On a scattered, cluttered feast

Every grain of sand
Filling the ocean with soiled tears..
Even the Mahathma
Helpless to help
