Maginal Line Poem by Robert Sheridan

Maginal Line

An imaginary line attributed by the
living to, 'Here you go dead...'
Excepting of course certain clean-cut
folks as-it might be unwise...
After all they may prefer paradise
to a place called, 'Oh, hell...'
Everything seems to be imaginary today
even back then - mistresses, contempt, aiding
and off-track betting; relationships and
crime; let's pass the buck one
more f _ _ _ _ _ _ time; what's happened to
courtesy and compassion - went the way
of the extinct kind - here today
gone sometime tomorrow, parting ain't no
sorrow - here's to all the dissatisfied...

'2008'
