मैं फूल हूं, बसंत के आगमन का संकेत हूं
मैं खुशबू हूं, रंगों का अनंत भंडार हूं
धागे में फिरो दो तो माला बन जाती हूं
बारीकी से बुनोगे तो चादर बन जाती हूं
क्या बाग. क्या कब्रिस्तान, मैं हर जगह मुस्कुराती हूं
मेरी नसों में जिंदगी बनके जो दौडे वो पानी केवल पानी है
मुझे परवाह नही वो गंगा से है, जमुना से है या रावी से है
धरती मेरी मां है, सूरज मेरा पिता
वो नीला अंबर है छत मेरा, मैं जहां खिलूं वहीं मेरा पता
मुझे बालों में सजा लो या कुचल दो पैरों तले
मेरी जिंदगी पल भर की हो भले
जब तक जीती हूं खुशियां महकाती हूं गली गली में
भवरा मेरा प्रेमी है, सगे ही दिखे हर झर्रे में
भले ही एक कोने में पलूं, कोई सर्हद न रोक पाए मेरी महक को
पानी, रोशनी तो मिलते हैं रोज, पर तरसु मैं प्यार देखने को
