Making Room Poem by Robert Longley

Making Room

So you seek to fill the void
With life's routine you seem annoyed
What was there it now seems gone
Which makes it hard when going on

But this is not the shape of things
For joy lives on in other things
The things you say, and what you do
Completes the vision held by you

There is no other that you need
Except to join - your soul to feed
Create the space, and space will fill
But not by force, or wanting's will

Paint some daisies, clean your house
Sit still and hear none but a mouse
For then your mind will be at easy
For first it's you, that you must please
