malace of my mind

My momentary death approaches
I close my eyes to accept it
Figures come forth, the broken child they must address
With their sight and speech am tarnished

Heart oozing of ache
Soul preys on faith
Smile masking the fake
Mind showing the sane

Alone I walk
Dark streets embrace my coldness
Pity faces plunger me with dead emotions
As I try to salvage an expression
For the sake of existence

My tears like anchors
That sink me deep in the depths of depression
Intoxicated by sadness
I am in love with my hopelessness

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
