Man's Best Friend Poem by Dan Jones

Man's Best Friend

Are all dogs really mans best friend?
A faithful companion to be with to the end?
Or are they something completely different?
A member of the family? Or used just to hunt?
Well I'll tell you if you want an opinion of mine
I'll assume you do because your reading a poem thats mine
But i think dogs are a womans best friend
Just a toy to make pretty and tend
No longer are they bred for strength and speed
But for cuteness because thats what women need
Well lets be honest they dont get that from men
Men are what dogs used to be back then
In times of old when dogs were strong
Fast and useful and could work for long
So a message I send out to you all
If you see a dog wearing a stupid shawl
A diomand collar, ribbons or clothes
Go up and kick her right on the nose
Then quickly take the lead from her hand
Let the dog free to run across the land
It will destroy the clothes i guarantee
And anything else that made it a mockery
So men rise up and take back whats ours
If its needed make battle worse than in the Two Towers
So a warning to women your times at an end
We are coming back strong to reclaim mans best friend
