Many Of You Poets Of The World Poem by Francis Duggan

Many Of You Poets Of The World

Rating: 5.0

Many of you poets of the World it does seem to me
You are not doing your duty for humanity
In your poems you seem to ignore poverty
The plight of the homeless and the refugee,
You write about love and about your own life
And you tell the whole World of your inner strife
And though love of self in itself is quite okay
Many of you do overdo writing of self or it does seem that way,
Few of you write poems to Nature her beauty you fail to see
The one who supports all life from the ant to the tree
The one who supports all life forms from the North to the Southern Shore
And who feeds all of humanity you see fit to ignore,
Many of you poets of the World to you I do not lie
When I say there is more to life than me, myself and I.
