Mark & Parkinson's Poem by jerry hughes

Mark & Parkinson's

My eldest son Mark,
unfairly stricken with Parkinson's,
has had to concede his working
days are over.

He was a nurse who loved his job
and the geriatric patients in his care.
Little believing he'd be one himself.
Mark with Parkinson's, me with a stroke,
we make a formidable pair.

A rare and very sad tribute to a son! I am so sorry to hear this incident and wishing you both a better to-morrow.

Your punchy gesture of defiance in the final line is a fitting finale to this poignant tribute to a much loved son. If he has half the courage of his Dad, he'll be OK. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
