Marketer's Playground Poem by Eric Niehoff

Marketer's Playground

Rating: 4.0

Pictures of their kids
And places that they travel
Post about their loves
As we watch them all unravel

Many posts are jokes
An attempt to seem comedic
Borrowed from another
Site that is encyclopedic

Some posts inspiration
In the hopes to spread some good
Others post too much
Shared more than they should

A form of entertainment
Mimicking real life shows
How this platform’s social
I’m sure that no one knows

Privacy concerns apparent
Ignored by common users
Marketing and Government
Now become the abusers

I use the sites for business
Because I am just as guilty
An end to pages of this type
Is nothing that I foresee

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I work in marketing and advertising and social media has become an important tool in that work. I have to be very active even on my personal pages in order to have the influential clout needed to be successful. I am still careful about what I post and who can see what I post.

You seem honest. Are you still alive? bri ;) Did you go to CA? I just came from there, to SC.

stanza 3: I think 'post' not 'posts'. stabza 4, for me, is unclear.
