Mars The God Poem by robert dickerson

Mars The God

through Narcissi I see stubborn
clouds that wheel and growl
quitting heavens' field.
Water resumes its weaving
a wind-teased puddle images
a blackly naked branch.

Fawn-dropping time
Roman January
our life begins.

sorry, oh
sorry, sorry, I
am not sorry.
