Martial Arts Poem by Racheal Lequeth

Martial Arts

Kick! Kick! Punch!
Kick! Kick! Punch!
Kick! Kick! Punch!

I heard the Sensei say
Sweat pours down my face as I hit the bag
The burning of my knuckles against the canvas

Blood runs down my hands as I remember my anger
I punch harder
They might call me names but here I let it out

My heart races, my hair is soaked.
One last punch breaks the bag

I turn to face my Sensei
