Mary Beth Poem by Jake Glenney

Mary Beth

I will never forget the day that you died.
I stayed up all night and I cried.
Then it hit me like a ton of bricks,
when i realized that you are the one that i will always miss.

I was at the church,
for the visitation.
And i drove the hearse,
with you in formation.

I was driving the car that ended your life,
the day before you would be my wife.
I'm sorry I caused your death,
I killed you, Mary Beth.

So saddening! Poetry conveys the feelings of the heart, and this is such a fine piece of poetry! Well penned!
