Masking Emotions Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Masking Emotions

Masking emotions, pretending they don't
exist while I hide in corners and cry.
Full of grief, touching my mind with it's
harsh and brutal insistensity.
Corrupting the best parts of life with
it's hurtful demeanor and cloak of death
pushing me forward into a spire of
loneliness.
