Masquerade- [ Opus I & I I ]

_______ I/II _______

{The Weakness of Strength/
The Ugliness of Beauty }

So addicted to transfiguration,
beauty pinching nerve 'n flesh -
from the bursting of liquid steel,
pouring thru' chemicaled veins -
until th' lungs become homeless
to breaths prerequisite...and oh,
how the side-effects are a bitch!

And, The Maestro Says...

Cloning 'Kratos' has its virtues,
virile flexing with attitude;
look at me young lassies, come -
an' watch me watch you ogle.

And, I'm stone drunk on myself
with a concourse of peopleoids,
the kind Ziggy Stardust invented-
in Diamonds, Spiders and Dogs,
electric majique from planet Mars.

And Reality Replies...

Godlike, til th' kick of Moksha
turns into, The Chinvat Bridge,
all for Ladylands ogle and rush,
all three of them, black 'n white
'til th' fever of this masquerade
breaks mercury from its glass tube,
bouncing beads off th' tiled floor
and the moods swing like twin doors
in a Brooklyn diner at lunchtime.

[And you fear you've become unhinged]

Yet, time still stands be your side,
yes the wake-up call is quite a bitch...
and the weening, Oh such a bastard -

Lo! Seraphs voices can be heard,
the true measure of all you are made of,
allowing acumen to reign holy'in your soul
to a mantra.... of a million years past,
that deemed 'The Mind a holy temple
and the triumph of Human Life...
so long as the mirrors you reflect in-
be absent of hubris and arrogance.

The Maestro observes, and awaits reaction.
