Mattathias Of Modim - A Poem For Hanukah
Don’t forget,
Old men are dangerous!
With little to lose,
And a world to gain,
And not a lot of space in between,
They’re stronger than you’d think
If you get them angry
Or cross their path
You’d know it
I guess.
Not in the little things
They’re beyond that stuff
But for things that really matter
Like truth and honor
Family and home,
And love and God,
They might even kick a king
In his rear.
