May Praise Be Heard

In truth I’ll love my family dear
And those who form the bride
My neighbours too both far and near
I’ll seek to love beside

Forgive me Lord when falling short
Afford more strength to try
Through faith I claim Your true report
The love You’ll send from high

For then in sweetest unity
When arms join separate ways
When love flows truly sweet and free
You’ll hear my heartfelt praise

In spirit will I worship You
In truth my words will rise
For deep inside is plain in view
To Your all seeing eyes

You’ll hear my God my humble song
You’ll hear my soulful cry
And faithfully You’ll right my wrong
And lift my head on high

Then innocent I’ll raise my hand
My voice will reach Your throne
Then love will heal this arid land
This child of flesh and bone

In spirit Lord I seek your face
Sincere these eyes look up
With perfect love and wondrous grace
I pray refill my cup

The battle’s won when loves supreme
When hate’s a bygone word
So now beyond my sweetest dream
I know my praise is heard
