Maya Angelou - A Tribute Poem by krishnakumar chandrasekar nair

Maya Angelou - A Tribute

You came to sing the song of universal love
And the world still need you dear Angelou
Black or white, yellow or suntanned brown
Let no man push or put a another one down
For a difference that just a little skin deep
With racist attitudes that make heavens weep
And remember that God of one is God of all
Who made us so that we never need to fall
Or bend, or cringe or buckle to a another's call
But as equals hold hands and stand broad and tall............
