Maybe Poem by Karissa Earley

Maybe

Alone there she sits,
cause she believed all his lies.
Her hearts filled with agony;
as she holds herself and cries.
She can't seem to blink,
she just stares lost in pain.Surrounded by darkness;
her tears fall like frozen rain.

Maybe it was her fault,
maybe she killed forever.
Maybe if she had held on tight,
they'd still be together.
Maybe if she had told him, the things she tried to hide.
Or maybe if he could figure out,
they'd still be alright.
Her heart starts to shatter,
it bursts into flame.
She knows even as friends,
nothing will be the same.
