Maybe A Bullet Poem by Judd David

Maybe A Bullet

I know we're not welcome but who gives a damn
Lets go anyway
I've got ten fingers and a longer story
And I hear the women still play

So I'll cut the cards if you deal the deck
We can corner these yuppies in mind
Don't be afraid
The worst they can say is I'm sorry
or maybe a bullet...

It's all the same in the end my friend
whether we are here or there
The people will bark while the dogs run wild
But if we are silent they're scared

And I'll take the risk if you place the bet
We can rob these heroes of muscle
Don't be afraid
The worst they can say is I'm sorry
or maybe a bullet...

I hear sister hopscotch is all grown up
She has finally found a way
The corner can catch you if you only look up
I remember she would say

And I don't want to say that I've lost this one
So I don't say
It seems my love is lovelier
from 3,000 miles away

So lets make a deal to never fall hard
Live only today
And don't be afraid if we are not welcome
They still will let us play

I'll pick the pockets if you keep them busy
Lets see what we can find
Don't be afraid
the worst they can say is I'm sorry
or maybe a bullet...
