I wanted to meet you
I needed a place to rest
I needed someone to hold me

Maybe, right or wrong
I wanted to touch your hand
Feel your fingers meshed with mine
The loneliness has crushed me

Maybe, right or wrong
I dreamed of kissing you
and feeling your soft lips quiver
unexpectedly

Maybe, right or wrong
I needed someone
But wanted it to be you
and imagined you as bright as the warm sun

Maybe, right or wrong
I felt a pull of destiny
A shameless pull
that could never be explained

Maybe, right or wrong
There was a reason
I was drawn to you
Like the tide is drawn to the moon

Maybe right or wrong
There will be someone else like you
But my heart already knows
You were special to me

Maybe right or wrong
The heart holds onto dreams until they die
And my heart has reached the end of dreams
So its trying to hold on to just one
