Mayhum. Poem by JSL Moondust

Mayhum.

Earth moistens
under our feet
and makes of us a spectacle.

Green of the field
wave emblems
until Sky catches colour
In quick bursts of cloud.

Narrow breeze
walks through trees
and awakens music.

Branch sways.
Right, Left.
Light Reft.

Leave dances
Unaware;
that it is being watched.

Pebble pebbles to pebbled pavements.
Lone singer.Quick dragon.

Old woman
Inhales orchestra
As fire roams
her kitchen walls.

Thunder thunders
Sleeping babies
Into God language.
Spirited cries.

Lightning robes
Our eyes
With
A
Z
Wind huffs and puffs,
Chain smoking doors shut.

Sun takes stairs
And braids our hairs.
Into listless pairs.

Pyrotechnicians
We are,
Tomorrow
We die.
