Me Poem by Imaanah Saleem

Me

Rating: 5.0

I tend to be dramatic
Can't help it
But I do
The trait is buried within my makeup
So deep

This is me…
Me

I'm one of nature's many jewels
The sapphire blue diamond in the rough

A Virgo ruled by seven
Stationed on Neptune's grounds
Unstable but able to hold her own

I am like the river
Forceful, and reckless
Always putting myself in harm's way to get what I want

This is me…
Me…

I am strong
Full of vigor and vim
Drawn by challenges
As if they were a sweet treat for me to enjoy

I am wild
Like a cheetah
So fast, with so much strength
Confident with her way to be in the wild

Unarmed but she keeps going
Predators watch her fly
Eating her dust in the far space from behind

She is Me…
Me…

I have poor sight but I let it be
She has no claws
Still she runs free
We run free
letting no complex hold us back.
