Me, My Mind, And Deep Sea Poem by Vinod Varma

Me, My Mind, And Deep Sea

An evening:
I am sitting on a sea shore
Enjoying waves on as it comes
Watching waves endless, restless
Approaching from a distance

I am watching waves as it comes
Jostling and joining, to reach me
Yet, at last, crashing on the shore
Withdrawing itself into deep sea.

Thought waves:
Each of these waves start off
As a small movement, at a distance
Moved on to hit the shore far off
Fanned by force of unseen winds.

Sunset:
As a tired sun retires quietly
Into yet another mystic night
I withdraw into my own self
I realize an ocean within me.

Endless thoughts hit shore
In a gentle touch of hope, care
And, of divine benevolence
And, as ferocious tsunami waves

Sleep:
I seek depth of tranquility
Beneath turbulent rush of waves
Depth beyond winds of change
As I fall asleep in my very own self
