Me & U Poem by Jacob Anthony Garcia

Me & U

what would describe just me and you?
without words, since that won’t do,
perhaps a number, it might pull through,
how about the square root of a two!

root two itself is irrational,
but with each other we shan’t annul.

waiting beneath my square root symbol,
I hold for you a meager thimble.

without you id be quite alone,
forever trapped under root’s unknown.

a beautiful birdie with me you fly,
since together our love may multiply.

root two x root two forms just us 2,
and perfectly describes just me & u.

together our root sign is finally lifted,
and is the greatest miracle ever gifted.

a gift from fate, another root of 2,
a gift from fate, for me and for u.

for without you id forever wait,
just outside of heaven’s gate.

although the square root of two is about 1.4,
integer “about” won’t open up that door.

only with you may i ever enter infinity,
paradise forever—his enchanted divinity.

you never thought a description of me & u,
wordless it could be…a Valentine for just us 2.
so that when one asks what best describes you,
just tell em you’re my other square root of 2.

Root (2) = 1.4
Happy Valentines 2/14
