Meaning Of Life Poem by Lissa White

Meaning Of Life

The clouds setting in
Depression fills my soul
Feel so low
Moving so slow
Cry out in pain
Tears falling like rain
No happy song to sing
Human life doesn’t means anything
People being executed
Houses being looted
Babies at the mercy of the knife
Cutting out their life
Always thought God was a loving man
But death fills the land
Graveyards are everywhere
People drive by and stare
What good is living
There’s nothing more to give
What is our country coming too?
Good ole red, white and blue
Might as well spit on the flag
Or use it for a dish rag
For what it seems to mean now
Our president, the killing machine
So evil, cold and mean
Life liberty and pursuit of happiness
What a bunch of sappiness
Couldn’t prove it by me
We do not live in the land of the free
What value does life have
If we take it so easily
With no thought
No resolution sought
When does it end
The killing machine dies
And ends the lies
When will we care
For one another and share
Help others
And quit being so self absorbed
Reach out to others
And give of ourselves
Not putting our hearts on a shelf
It takes a special person
To help someone in need
Not out of glory or greed
But out of kindness and good deed
And concern for a fellow human being
What are we teaching our children?
What lesson will they learn?
Growing up into women and men
Living like they was taught
By parents who never fought
Who just let injustice go by
Never spoke up
Whose left to cry
And mourn the loss of our country
Who cares and whatever
Seems to be the words of today
What is the meaning of life?
Will someone please tell me?
Not the home of the free
That’s for sure
So what’s the cure?
I’m waiting for an answer
Guess I’ll be waiting till hell freezes over
For the meaning of life.
