Mechanics Of Semantics Poem by Audrey Stephenson

Mechanics Of Semantics

I've always marveled why it was always easier to pull someone down instead of pulling them up

I suppose I've always resented these inherent little tendencies we have
Like the dulling gnaw of contrition

And why even bother about getting from point A to point B
If neither of them really even exist

I've always longed to be the window pane
Reflecting any kind words, To let in all the blame

But regardless of this lofty ideology
I am still one of the biggest narcissists I know

I personally think it's sad

Unfortunately that is the nature of the society!

Verbal trickery comes into play When we try to find other ways to say Something that should be clear to all Even when it's disguised in a Texan's drawl. So be not sad if that's the case For words of wisdom seldom go to waste. s
