Meet My Mom? Poem by Mariah Williams

Meet My Mom?

Rating: 5.0

Well, if you want to meet her, I won't protest.
In fact, I'll smile and wish you the very best.
Now...

At times she can be sweet and kind,
but remember she's fierce, and you must keep this in mind.

Don't look into her eyes,
and please, oh please never tell her any of your lies.

Don't laugh too loud or talk too soft,
and always cover your mouth when cough.

Don't speak unless she speaks to you,
and make sure to do everything she asks of you.

Now love, I'm only telling you this, because I love you a lot,
and don't want my mom to turn you down on the spot.

Now take a deep breath and count to ten,
while I run through this list of NO NOs again.
