Memories Framed Poem by DAUGHTER OF A CRACKED MIND

Memories Framed

Rating: 5.0

Looking back over time, the things we have done
Where we have come from, where we have been
The things we have seen, the people we have met
The pictures we have taken and kept, our memories
Sometimes good, sometime bad, our lives Captured
in print, the moments we frame, the smiles, the tears
Albums they fill, our lives now there to view in still
Flicking through the years, we pause for a moment
Taking a step into the past, our distant memories
come floating back, to a time we had long forgotten
Trapped in history, images framed beneath the glass
Our life's mantle, adorned with all its collected pride
A smile, a tear, caught in an instant, a moment in time
Passed to future generation, our once loved memories
Images inherited, to be lost amongst life's settling dust
A wipe of a cloth and our lives are now remembered
On a face a smile appears, from an eye a tear is shed
For we have long gone, but now on display our loved
Memories framed, life's images, will forever remain.
