Memories Of A Loved One Poem by Rhonda Davis

Memories Of A Loved One

It's been years the memory is still clear.
Impressions of a face remain.
Freshness of youth intact, unspoiled.
Perfume of roses and wild flowers newly cut still briefly lingers in the air.
The wound remains open, unhealed, bleeds with pain each time the mind passes over you.
An empty grave's famish is ended.
Heaven's gate opened once again to received the blessed.
Courage reigns as faith smoothes a rugged road.
The circle of the soul is once again completed.
