Memories of the past
tend to make me cry
Forever never seemed to last
and we didn't even try.
Memories of the past
bring me to my knees
Time flew by too fast
and I'm still beggin' please
Memories of the past
leave me craving for more
We surely had a blast
but now you're just a bore
Memories of the past
always bring me sorrow
I wonder whether it will last
for today's just yesterdays tomorrow

memories once sweet tasting bitter now...part and parcel of this life game...days roll over to make tomorrows and days after...good poem, Jools...feelings well expressed in well framed lines...10
