Memories Of You Poem by Peter.R Johnson

Memories Of You

On the sand I lay alone
In loneliness and despair
My heart is almost breaking
Just wishing you were here.

I've felt this way so often
There are so many times like these
Just then a whisper …..C******* (lover's name)
Floats in on fragrant breeze

It brushes gently upon my lips
The way my lips brushed yours
Sweet love-filled memories roll in
To break upon my lonely shores.

Thoughts of soft, warm touches
Of kisses and caress
Of deep desires, hot passion, lust
Of tender love confessed.

The sun now clothes my body
Within it's warm embrace
It reminds me how I held you close
And gazed upon your face.

In that very special moment
As we two became like one
Sweet memories forged, so loved, so pure
They could never be undone.

As I drifted with the elements
Sweet breeze, hot sun, the sea
I lovingly thanked Mother Nature
For she brought you here, close to me.
