Memory's Darker Horizon - Poem by Stephen Carey

That was a
Different feeling.
That was a
Different sunset.

The dim lights
Shine in odd ways.
I hear voices,
And I can't discern
Whether they are
In real time or
Memory's.

The voices are
Like butterflies
In my head.
The lights only
Make it seem
Darker.

Surely this feeling
Is abnormal.
How can I
Feel a sunset?
But, I felt it,
A black sun set
On my heart's
Horizon.

Dark... but very imaginative... I like it. (Report) Reply
