A heart once broken
In time can mend
To love oneself
To have faith again

Just when peace
Has settled in
New love beckons
For hope to begin

Open and hopeful
To what can be
Explore new horizons
Like an open sea

Ride the waves
Of life’s adventure
Open to feelings
Without conjecture

Potential lurks
All around
Ubiquitous hope
Love to be found

A heart once broken
In time can mend
If the wall of protection
Does break and bend
