Mended Heart Poem by Tyra Falconwing

Mended Heart

Bitter winds blow,
As I stand on the edge,
The cold eating away at me numbly,
The moon’s beams shining elegantly

Loneliness surrounds me,
In the darkness all around,
Stars can’t be found,
Their gentle light lost

When I was no use,
When I was in another place,
Her kind smile came,
I told her I needed space

I told her I wanted to be alone,
She pulled me into a hug,
Hear love shown

I stood there frozen,
Like a petrified stone,
In her warm loving arms,
Frozen to the bone

I put my arms around her,
Caring but tight,
Fearing she’d disappear,
Out of my sight

She took my shattered heart,
She sewn ever tear,
And mended it with care

In the moonbeams,
We look at the gleaming stars above,
Getting lost in each others love
