Merging Territories Poem by Addy Adenawo

Merging Territories

Rating: 5.0

Let's blur the line that divides
Erase the mark that separates the foolish from the wise
Merge them and see
If the sky's really different from the sea

Let's blur the line that holds us back
From reaching up high and touching the sky
Do a tap dance on our limitations
Push aside our inhibitions

Let's blur the line that puts us in class
That points out people we can't be like
Stand up and walk with our heads held up high
Face our fears and not run and hide

Let's blur the line that separates
Those we love from those we hate
We'll make a concerted effort to love all equally
No matter who they are, love them wholly

We constantly blur the line, the question always is once blurred can the very same line be found again and finely walked as if it was never blurred at all.
