Merry Christmas! ! !

A prayer came in my heart
for goodwill to all men.
Thought of a chime provoked me
to begin writing from my pen.

Cakes, puffins and gifts
and a few cans of beer
and wherever you see
everyone's in merriment and cheer.

The candles will be lit
and the bells will jingle
and the tree will be decorated
with our loved ones when we mingle.

The stars are so shiny
and the night chilly and cold,
your desires will be fulfilled
in my dreams I've been told.

Love others and be happy
give the gifts and spread smiles
and let Santa approach
from away miles and miles.

A Merry merry Christmas
to all of you I convey
and let us celebrate it
every hour and every day.

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
