Merry Christmas Poem by Ogunbowale Olugbenga

Merry Christmas

Like a ferry, our sins He came to carry,
Even when we were not sorry, even when his favor we did not curry.
His love is sweeter than cherry and deeper than that which makes us marry.
He said ‘cast your cares on me and have no worry'.

His miracles are so iconic, not boring like a blackberry.
His words are so thick and transforming, not watery like a slurry.
And He died and rose again, powers that dwarf stories of Harry.

Christmas is here again, time to merry, you better hurry!
Don't you eat alone your Perry, why not share your Strawberry?
Christ gave us life and our giving helps someone's life to not look flurry.
Yes my name is Tom: Merry Christmas to you my dearie Jerry.
