Metamorphasis Poem by Joseph Anthony Montefusco

Metamorphasis

_I_
The things once hated
I seem to be embracing
What’s happened to me?

_II_
Lovers left for dead
And my mind feels no regret
What have I become?

_III_
Sweet soul gone awry
My metamorphosised mind
What’s become of me?

_IV_
A heart torn apart
Is no longer in control
The mind overcame

_V_
Others don’t matter
The mind greedy with lust
It gets what it wants

_VI_
It is not too late
I must try to revert I
Redemption is near.
