Midlife Crisis Poem by Sebastian Soberania

Midlife Crisis

Rating: 5.0

there is a plateau in the days of our lives
when we wonder, where is the next hump?
where is the next rock? the next river?
where is the next hole? that darkness and the fall?

the plateau flattens some more
we are confronted with a very far horizon
we even ask if we shall not be shaken anymore
by some rugged terrains of this journey

this is the age of feeling that we are forgotten
when we simply have to pass the path with no one every noticing us
we doubt, we feel so alone, and we do not hear any voice
at all

we promise ourselves, soon, soon, soon
i will be a big blunder.
